About Me

Since 1989, I have been engaged in the field of psychotherapy as a self-employed therapist in private practice, as well as in international training, lecturing, teaching therapy, and supervision.

As a professional educator, I conduct training courses for professionals from diverse therapeutic disciplines, including mindfulness, somatics, psychology, and trauma therapy.

Originating from osteopathic medicine and body psychotherapy influenced by the humanistic perspective, I currently instruct contemporary methodologies such as the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), developed by L. Heller PhD, and SomatoSensitive Psychodynamics (SSP), a modality I independently developed.

Approach

My approach to facilitating learning and providing therapeutic support is based on the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). This model combines process-oriented, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches with an understanding of developmental and transformational processes informed by a psychodynamic perspective.

This approach is tailored to each individual’s particular situation in life.

 

Perspective

Experience has taught me that, no matter how hurt, disconnected or symptomatic we may feel, we all have the potential to shape our lives according to our inner compass and intact core of being.

However, when we are unable to access this natural formative capacity and adapt in a compensatory manner, we suffer. Consequently, we develop negative beliefs and feelings about ourselves, our sense of being alive, others, and the world.

However painful or threatening we initially perceive an experience to be, every adversity contains an opportunity to discover something new and to develop further. Therefore, the feelings and thoughts that we would prefer to avoid need our attention. Developing this capacity requires commitment, patience and time.

Rooted in this trust, I am committed to promoting personal accountability, clarity and self-compassion. In doing so, I consider acceptance for what is, an open heart, and sincere, genuine, eye-level interactions to be important.
